Special One-Day Program for Students & Educators

Join us at #SNDChicago for a special day-long program on April 4 that’s built for students and educators. SND is planning an action-packed agenda that should be helpful no matter where you are in the learning process. Register here for this event, which students may attend free. Lunch will be provided.

The highlights:

  • An introduction to design thinking by Knight Lab: This hands-on training focuses on teaching attendees collaborative techniques centered on design thinking that can be applied to projects right away.
  • A roundtable discussion with creative directors and product leaders: This session looks at real-world takeaways that will help you learn more about what’s happening in exciting segments of the industry.
  • Student portfolio and self-promotion reviews: What’s working in your work and what should you do to advertise yourself? What’s too much — or too little?
  • Strategies for landing your first job: Our final part of this special day is meant to enable action as you hit the job market, with a key focus on finding meaningful ways to connect over the next two days of the workshop.

Thanks to our sponsors Medill and Tribune Publishing for making this day possible. We hope to see you on April 4 for a day of training and networking in Chicago!

Have questions? Please contact SND Vice President Alyson Morris, who is coordinating the event.
